Back by popular demand! Does your young artist love to draw? This introductory drawing camp teaches kids the basic techniques and principles of drawing. We’ll encourage creativity and imagination, while experimenting with a variety of drawing materials and techniques. The kids will even receive their own sketchbook that they will get to keep and draw in throughout the camp! In Kidcreate’s fun and supportive environment, your young artist will be eager to get drawing!

Join us at Panther Camp for Cardboard Construction week! Activities will include planning and building projects with cardboard, learning about safe tool use, and the annual Cardboard Carnival. 

Panther Camp programs are for kids entering grades K through 6 in the fall of 2024. Extended day care, which is free of charge, is available as early as 7:30 AM and as late as 5:30 PM. Lunch is available for an additional fee. 

For students entering Grades 3-6

Skyhawks Basketball is tailored for beginners to intermediate players. Our progressive curriculum goes beyond the game, emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork. Athletes will delve into the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through skill-based instruction and engaging small-sided scrimmages. Join us for a holistic basketball experience where fun meets skill development!

For students entering Grades 5-8.

This Minecraft esports program is similar to LEGO First robotics, and other academic competition clubs, and offers a new way to challenge players. In this esports program, competitors will be tasked with analysing and solving complex science & engineering problems and using Minecraft to demonstrate their solutions. Teams will compete against each other by building & coding academic solutions within Minecraft Education Edition. However, like a traditional game competition, teams must also play offense & defense, sending out scouts to interrupt their competitors.

For students entering Grades 5-8. ONLINE COURSE

Join fellow Minecrafters as part of a team of builders in our unique Minecraft Missions. Work together to build large-scale construction challenges in our team-based collaborative environment. Minecraft will be the platform to help develop your leadership, social and problem-solving skills to accomplish unique, creator-driven mission challenges. Use your imagination to coordinate with a team to design and build a mega-scale Minecraft Missions project. Creativity, critical thinking and communication will be your keys to success! Previous experience with Minecraft is recommended, but not required. This offering can be taken multiple times, each session is unique.

For students entering Grades 5-8. ONLINE COURSE

Are you ready to take your Minecraft skills to the next level? This program focuses on building adventures and teaches participants about interactive world building as well as game design. This fun and engaging Minecraft program will spark interests in STEM, foster creativity and help participants use Minecraft as an exciting learning tool. No prior experience with Minecraft necessary. All skill levels welcome. This offering can be taken multiple times, each session is unique.

For students entering Grades K-4

Mounds Park Academy Basketball is excited to offer our annual Panther Basketball Camp--July 8th-11th in the Lansing Sports Center.

MPA's Head Basketball Coach, Chris Hopkins, will be running these basketball camps for students in grades K-8. The emphasis will be on shooting, ball handling, and fundamentals for all skill levels. This camp is open to all MPA and non-MPA students. MPA students are encouraged to invite a friend!

For students entering Grades 3-6

Dive into the excitement of football with Skyhawks Flag Football. Guided by a curriculum crafted by USA Football experts, our coaches impart essential skills — passing, receiving, and flag pulling. In our fun and positive environment, participants not only gain confidence but also absorb valuable life lessons. The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl, giving you a chance to showcase your skills on the gridiron. Get ready for a thrilling journey into the world of flag football!
