Piano Fusion Lessons—Wednesdays
with Hannah Baaker
Hannah Baaker, piano. Nine 45-minute lessons that are excellent for early readers, those who thrive on structured independence, or benefit from low-sensory environments.
Students will be issued lesson and theory books for their own use. During class, they will use an iPad and headphones that stay at the studio.
Most of the class is spent in a “flipped” classroom environment, where students watch a lesson on the iPad that corresponds with their book page. The video introduces the concept, reads the instructions, then empowers the student to complete the activity or song before calling the teacher over to assess.
Students can signal for help by turning a slider on their piano to red and to green when ready for feedback. Since everyone is self-paced the teacher is always available to help each student.
Students will have access to SeeSaw, a learning management platform, where they will submit their work and message the teacher when practicing at home.
